To: All of our valued members

With the end of our 2015-sanctioned show behind us it’s time to reflect on 2015 as well as prepare for our club Christmas party.

First, I would like to thank everyone for his or her continued support throughout the year and give a special thanks to everyone who came out and supported the fun show we held in October in Grand Prairie. The show was a success, the weather was excellent, and the venue was outstanding. From what I could gather everyone had a good time. It was great to see everyone and it was certainly beneficial to hold the fun show prior to the sanctioned show. Looking forward to the next fun event it’s important for us to focus on what we did that was successful and look for ways to improve our attendance for our next fun show.

Secondly, we should all be very proud of the success of our sanctioned show! We had an excellent turnout and I have never had so many compliments from our guests. Everyone really chipped in and helped unselfishly, the result was a resounding success! Everyone deserves a pat on the back for their effort this year. I noticed a lot of new faces along with almost all the regulars in the crowd. All the bases were covered from the parking, weight pull, weight pull logistics, registration, computer entry, tee shirt sales, raffle, auction, trash collection, awards, trophies, venue décor, security, wall climb, vendor assignment, concession stand, ring stewards, holding area management, and show operations. All of our club members who participated in any facet of putting on this show did an excellent job! I would also like to give thanks to our judges and the ADBA who did an outstanding job:

Weight Pull: Richard Hughes and Robert Dozier

Conformation: Sharon Sundy and Hank Greenwood

Old Timer: Frank Cartwright

We were blessed to have such experienced outstanding judges. The pressure is on for next year in finding judges for our 2016 show. The Judges listed above will be a hard act to follow.

Many of the shows for a lot of clubs have seen a down turn in attendance and we should be very thankful that our show still draws a respectable number of dogs each year. When you see or talk to the attendees that participated in our show over the next year please thank them for their support.

Lastly, I would like to remind everyone that it’s time to renew your membership for 2016 if you have not already done so. The money that you pay for your membership helps to support the club and goes a long way in helping us oppose anti-dog legislation.

Our Club Christmas party will be held on December 20, 2015 at 3:00pm at the Spring Creek Barbecue located in Mansfield Texas (here is a map). We want to welcome anyone who wishes to attend to come and join us for the celebration. We will have fun, food, a gift exchange and the special Hammonds’ award for one of our deserving members. Don’t forget to bring a gift for a value of $10.00 or more for the gift exchange.

Thanking everyone for your support,

Tom Lundberg
